Christmas has officially descended upon our household. I love this time of year. There is just something about sitting in the living room next to a beautifully decorated tree, listening to some Christmas music, and sipping some egg nog. It just seems to put a smile on my face and gives me warm fuzzies. This year our tree is extra special to me. A couple of weeks ago I wasn’t sure how we were going to manage getting a tree this year because my husband was recently laid off. In my mind it couldn’t have been worse timing what with the holidays being here and all. So I was sharing my woes with a friend and she reassured me that there would be a way that we would get a tree and to have faith that it would all work out. Just a few days later I saw my friend again and she told me that she got to thinking about our tree situation and had remembered that she had a fake Christmas tree in storage that her and her husband would not be using and offered to let us use it. So this year our tree is my Christmas miracle. I know it doesn’t seem like that big of a deal because it’s just a Christmas tree but I love having a tree and to me for some reason not having a tree in the house at Christmas just makes it not seem like Christmas. So thank you Lauren and Harley for so generously allowing us to borrow your tree and bringing some Christmas cheer into our home this year!
